Small Business Loans 2x Matched by Rural Lisc

Idaho Connect and the Idaho Women's Business Center  has partnered with Rural Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) & the Kiva small business lending program to provide 1:1 matched, 0% interest loans to rural entrepreneurs. LISC is one of the nation’s leading Community Development Financial Institutions with 31 offices across the country & Kiva is a crowdsourced lending platform that allows entrepreneurs to borrow up to $15,000 interest-free. Kiva brings affordable loans to entrepreneurs that would otherwise not be able to borrow from traditional lenders.

The Mission of the NNLN is to increase the visibility of Native lending in the Pacific Northwest, support lending institutions that serve Indian Country, pool and share technical and financial resources and best practices, create tools and systems to better facilitate lending in Indian Country, demonstrate the value of CDFIs and lenders to the broader Native community, and strengthen relationships to create a robust regional lending network.

The Idaho Connect Community Navigator Pilot Program is a “hub and spoke” model, with the Idaho WBC as the hub, and eight spoke community partner organizations who will create collective impact. Together, the team of community organizations commit to identify and support underserved and under resourced entrepreneurs In Idaho. Idaho Connect network of partner organizations will help address the identified gap areas of: financial, digital, and legal literacy, while increasing cultural knowledge and awareness.

Office of Native American Affairs

The Office of Native American Affairs offers free technical assistance in helping firms with a wide spectrum of business disciplines such as marketing, strategic and operational planning, financial analysis, opportunity development and capture, contract management, and compliance. The types and substance of assistance available under the Program are dynamic, driven by dictates of the marketplace, technology, and specific firms’ needs. 

Free Technical Service for Native Americans

The U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) Office of Native American Affairs (ONAA) facilitates full access to business growth and expansion tools for small businesses owned by Native Americans. ONAA engages in tribal consultations, produces promotional materials, and participates in national economic development conferences.


American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians can use our local assistance tool to find nearby offices and resources. There, you can get counseling on whether our 8(a) Business Development Program is right for you.

Small Business Advising

Small Business resources that include Counseling, Business Planning, Small Business loans and Budget Assistance. 


Counseling:The NNDF staffs a full time counselor to aid individuals seeking to develop or expand their business.


Business Planning:Business Plan development assistance, with numerous templates.


Marketing Plan: Marketing Plan development assistance. Your success is based on successfully marketing your product or service.


Small Business Loans:Small Business Loans. For those who are unable to gain needed financing from traditional lending institutions, the NNDF will work with them and you to help make your dreams come true. We do this by leveraging our resources with local lenders and technical assistance providers.


Budget Assistance: The NNDF maintains networking relationships with various local and statewide lending institutions and can help in building your loan application.

Enhanced Tribal Benefit

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a U.S. government program run by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices like a laptop or tablet.


You are likely eligible if your household’s income is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line, or if you or someone you live with currently receives a government benefit like SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, WIC, Pell Grant, or Free and Reduced-Price Lunch.


They have Tribal Land Specific Program with additional assistance.
